Diet Tragedies - the simplest way to Fight Them, the easy way to Avoid Them.

How did it happen? You were being so good about eating healthy - now you are eyeball to eyeball with a complete coconut cream pie or a burger and fries from the closest junk food joint. Potential Disaster : I mostly wind up eating the entire bag of nibbles - but my folks will riot if I stop purchasing them. Then take the same number of sealable sandwich baggies and divide the nibbles uniformly into every one. So the next time you would like something to chew on, just grab one of those single helping baggies.

Potential Disaster : I have just got to have a bit of cake / pie / pastry / other high caloric indulgence. Actually like that piece of cake or pastry - savor it.

Potential Disaster : I am on the road a lot and do not have much time, so I am always grabbing junk food on the move. This is critical as you must cook at a high temperature to avoid stewing or steaming your ingredients. Before you use your wok for the 1st time, you have to season it. Seasoning the wok is a method to "break it in" to guarantee even heat-distribution during stir-frying, and helps lock in the tastes of the food as it's cooking. Wipe this film away, and wash your wok in warm, soapy water. To season your wok, put it on the burner over medium-high heat for one or two minutes.

Add a drop or 2 of oil, and swirl it around to cover the surface uniformly. Do not even wait till the end of the meal - ask your waitress or waiter to bring you a Plastic container when they bring your food. Another thing you may consider is bringing your own, healthy dish - simply make sure it's one of your faves, something that you truly love but that will not destroy your diet.
